Antalya is becoming a Smart City
Menderes Türel, who presents Metropolitan Municipalities “Smart City” Project, said: “A new period starts with our smart city project in technology, tourism, transportation, health, security and municipal services.” Menderes Türel announced that within this project they will set up smart tourism points, free Wi-Fi in the city centre, unmanned service points, electronic traffic control system, intelligent public transport system, smart health care, barrier free SMS system, smart environment and smart energy systems. The “Vision 81 Smart Cities” Project in cooperation with Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and Turkish Telekom was held in the AKM. The press conference organized by Mayor Menderes Türel and Turkish Telekom CEO and Board Member Rami Aslan was held with the participation of the former Minister of Transportation Lütfi Elvan. Minister Elvan and Mayor Türel received information of the Telekom authorities while visiting the stands before the meeting in the foyer at the AKM. Stressing that the “Smart City” Project will be a groundbreaking, modernising project for Antalya Mayor Menderes Türel continued: “With the ‘Smart City’ Project Antalya as a whole city switches first into the age of technology and then into the age of informatics. Thanks to the supports of our Dear Minister Lütfi Elvan; the cruise port transformed into a giant project, transportation investments outrun our visions, our government accepted the decision on reducing the agricultural irrigation schedule of greenhouses and interest-free loan assistance in modernization investments in greenhouses and given the speed, the smart city project expanded its extent.May God grant everyone such deputies and ministers.
